Assessment and Contract
Before starting therapy you will be asked to come to a free assessment. The assessment will last between 30 minutes and an hour.
The purpose of the assessment is to give you an opportunity to meet with us and discuss your reasons for wanting to attend therapy. It also gives us the opportunity to decide whether we have an appropriate therapist available to meet your needs.
You will also be asked about your financial situation to assess whether you are eligible for support from Maybe. We will ask you what you can afford to pay for each session, this may be as little as £1.00 per session or go up to £30.00 per session. By contributing even a small amount it allows Maybe to support more people who are in need.
At the start of your first therapy session you will be asked to sign a contract. This is an agreement between you and your therapist concerning the following:
- Confidentiality and data protection
- Session times, frequency and number
- Fees, cancellations, illness and holidays
- Responsibility and complaints
By signing the contract you are telling your therapist that you are committed to trying to work with them. In return, they are signing the contract to show you their commitment to support and work with you.
