Working for Maybe

If you are a psychotherapist and are interested in joining our team of therapists at Maybe, please contact Dr Sarah Pitt by email at

You will need to:

  • Be a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist to diploma level or above
  • Be fully insured
  • Have an up to date enhanced DBS certificate
  • Provide your own appropriate supervision with an accredited supervisor
  • Be a member of an appropriate professional body such as the BPS, BACP, HCPC or equivalent

You can choose to work from your own setting if you are already in private practice or there is a room available, that you can use free of charge for any Maybe recipient client sessions.

Monthly peer supervision is available if desired.

We offer up to £25.00 per session, which compares favourably with NHS pay for counsellors and other charities. If, however, you are able to offer any hours for a lower fee, enabling us to support a greater number of recipients, please let us know.

Students (after their first year of study) may apply for a Voluntary Student Therapist Placement.  Experience of 1:1 counselling, Psychotherapy or Art Therapy is essential.

If you are interested in working for Maybe as a volunteer either as a trustee or in another capacity such as fundraising or administration we would also be interested in hearing from you. We are always grateful for any support if it allows us to help more people who are in need of assistance.
